Jumpstart’s 14th Read for the Record will bring together millions of adults and children as they read the same book on the same day, building an inter generational community through reading. Stratford resident and Marine Mom, Karen Jennings, founded the Military Support Group of NJ Inc (MSGNJ) in 2004 when her son, deployed to Iraq for the first of three tours.
The Group meets once a month, every 2nd Thursday, at American Legion Post 281 in Gloucester Twp., NJ and sends care packages almost weekly to All branches of the Deployed Military, helps Military Families and our Veterans.
Join us on October, 19 at 2pm for our 3rd Annual Fiction Reading at the library! Two talented authors, Joseph Rathgeber and Rob Gerke, will be reading from their published works. Come out and meet them! Book signing and refreshments will follow the reading.
In his first novel, Mixed Bloods, Joseph Rathgeber writes about a group of marginalized people who live in an enclave high above Mahwah, NJ in the Ramapo mountains, who struggle to survive the ecological devastation visited up on them by the neighboring Ford plant.
