Poetry Workshop with George Drew - Saturday, April 21 at 2PM 

This is a special opportunity to be involved in a poetry workshop with critically-acclaimed poet George Drew.  Mr. Drew is the author several award-winning volumes of poetry, including The View from Jackass Hill (2010), Down & Dirty (2015), Pastoral Habits (2016), and Fancy's Orphan (2017).  The workshop is free, but limited to 8 participants.  Please pre-register with the library, in person or call (856) 783-0602.  You may submit 2 poems for a workshop critique if you wish, although it is not required.  Please email poems to Library Director Alfred Encarnacion at by Monday, April 2, and be aware that the poems will be shared with other members of the workshop.


Annual Poetry Reading at the Whitman-Stafford Farmhouse - Sunday, April 22 at 2PM

In honor of National Poetry Month, Stratford Library and the Whitman-Stafford House present a special reading by poets Darcy Cummings, Peter Krok, Lynn Levin, and George Drew.  Join us to experience the work of these four contemporary poets who are keeping the art of poetry alive and relevant.  This free event is co-sponsored by our library and the Whitman-Stafford Farmhouse Committee.  Please register by contacting either the library or the Farmhouse.
